Embody the Spirit of Woman
September 18-21, 2008

Colleen Saidman & Jill Pettijohn.

You are invited to join us in our second all women's retreat held in the beautiful Catskills at Menla Mountain Retreat in Phoenicia. Two amazing women will be combining their extraordinary skills to make this a truly transformative experience--a chance to cleanse, rejuvinate, and practice. Together Colleen and Jill are bringing you a rare and unique opportunity to transform your life. To enhance this already potent combination, there will be a sweat lodge, body workers, astrologers, and more.

Come and absorb the silence and enjoy the magic of this breathtaking Buddhist sanctuary. Join hands, laugh, practice, and indulge in great food in this feminine journey of transformation... Go home clear, relaxed, and alert. If you are missing the urban lifestyle while here, the quaint village of Woodstock in conveniently located nearby for an afternoon or evening excursion, for a little retail therapy, or for entertainment.

Colleen Saidman, a remarkable woman and an amazing teacher from Yoga Shanti in Sag Harbor, NY, will be offering yoga twice daily along with meditation and pranayama (breathing techniques). Colleen’s introduction to yoga was at the urging of a roommate who convinced her to attend a class at a loft space in New York City. It was not long after that first class, that her worn out running shoes, her basketball and her boxing gloves became relics of the past. And in 1994, after enduring back surgery, Colleen’s commitment to her yoga practice deepened. A graduate of Jivamukti’s Teacher Training program in 1998, she has been teaching ever since. Colleen has been featured in both The New York Times and New York Magazine and in November 2003, was on the cover of Yoga Journal. A consummate student, Colleen has traveled throughout Europe and Asia studying alternative medicine and spiritual healing. Colleen holds a certification in Shiatsu and lived in Calcutta, India working with Mother Theresa at the Home of the Destitute and Dying.

Jill Pettijohn will be complementing this experience with her extraordinary culinary skills and nutritional guidance by offering wonderfully nutritious and cleansing foods for the duration. For More Information on Jill Pettijohn Click Here
